About Me

My name is Taryn, the voice behind the words you're reading!

I started Taryndipity in 2012 as a means to satisfy my urge to write. Since then, this site has been through numerous identity crises. As my knowledge and experience with Photoshop grew, new logos and color combos became the only thing I focused on.

I took a hiatus from blogging after my high school sweetheart (finally) popped the question in 2013. We started dating in 2005 and 11 years later, we still love each other to no end. My husband is an amazing man and I am so lucky to have met him so early in life. He's the Cory to my Topanga.

Tony just accomplished an amazing feat of losing 200+ pounds. It was a hard journey and a test to our relationship at times, but I am so proud of him. He's recently started a blog to share his experiences and to inspire others to make a healthier lifestyle of their own. Check out Persistent Fitness! Tell him I sent you!

We live a simple life in Florida with our only child named Tootsie. She's a six year old miniature schnauzer and is the absolute center of our world. We have no desire to have any human children so she reaps all the benefits of being an only child. She has her own Instagram account (yes, I'm that dog mom) and you can follow her here!

So why did I decide to come back to the interwebs?

I lost my mother early this year and I'm trying to write my way through my acceptance of that. She supported me with my dreams of everything and told me more times than I can count that I was far too talented to waste my energy on doing nothing with it. The day my mother died, all I wanted to do was write. That's what she used for "therapy," and something was telling me that I needed to do the same.

I hope to be able to share not only my grief with you, but also document my life going forward.

Follow me on Instagram and subscribe to my blog to share in my journey!

Thanks for reading!
